We just joined and we were very pleased with the help getting signed up. So, I signed up for the Wellness orientation. I called to see if my partner and I could attend together and was told I needed to call Wellness Coach but the phone was never answered. I made a reservation and we just went together. NO ONE SHOWED UP! We were told we could just hang around an hour to see if someone showed up. VERY disappointed! I had questions and was hoping for some answers.
It’s “hotter than normal” meaning it’s always hot. Air conditioning down or not this gym is ALWAYS hot. The water filter hasn’t been changed in weeks or months and remains on red. Too many underage kids in the workout area. The rooms are always locked when not in session and the staff won’t give you the key to go stretch/do yoga. There’s one heavier set woman (staff) who always has an attitude. I drive out of my way to go to the valley location. Never had any issues there.
You guys charge $60 a month for one gym membership but can’t get air conditioning in your gyms? Not only is this dangerous but as a member it makes me wonder where all that money goes. The only thing you guys seem to update (here and there) is workout equipment. Safety and comfort of your members should be your number one priority. Bottom line

The "lifeguards" made several kids take off their water wings and one woman was not allowed to use the infant float because they deemed them "unsafe" but the kids could throw a ball around and hit people in the heads. Not sure how water wings and life vest are unsafe but the kick boards are ok.
It should be illegal to operate in 90, 100 degree heat with no air conditioning. Hoping they credit their members for the inconvenience this month. If they don’t I’m searching for different gyms. $60/month can find me something else.
I was at the YMCA North location. I worked out and was running on the treadmill, I couldn’t breath well due to the mask. I removed it temporarily to breath, a female employee asked me to put it back on, I told her I couldn’t breathe, she told she didn’t care that was their policy. Then asked me to leave! I just looked at her. I guess if I stopped breathing they wouldn’t care. I give this place my money & I wonder why.
Meanwhile, I go in the gym and 2 people out of 20 are wearing a mask, and the staff says nothing. 🤦🤷♂️🤔
